Here's the LiveUSB tutorial:

I don't think I like Suse... I still can't find the package manager (if it has one) and does anyone know how to update it via terminal?

The package manager is YAST(should be in the control center) and yes you can run it in the terminal.
See what these give you.

man yast
-or-
yast --help

lol, dude are you kidding?

If you're using KDE, it should be in Suse ("start" button) > Applications > System > Administrator Settings. The icon should be a wrench.

Or alternatively, you can type "yast" into the K Menu searcher.

You probably got confused because by default, Suse's menu items are named by the description, and the name is in parenthesis or only show when you mouse-over. I never liked this.

But anyway, look for the wrench. The package manager is in Software > Software Management. It can be slow the first time as it's downloading all the repo information.

Edit: OR, you could even go to K Menu > Computer > Install Software. That takes you right to the Yast software manager.

I'm using GNOME. I did figure out how to run yast. I didn't know that you had to be su to use it. I'm not sure I like the way it's set up either. The descriptions are all weird not in a user friendly language... I'm still going to keep using it for a little bit, but I think Ubuntu may have spoiled me...

Try looking for options for stuff. Like in KDE, you could right-click the K Menu, go to options, then choose:

Format:

Name (description)
Description (name)
Name only
Description only

I'm not sure what it would be for GNOME, though. Suse is known to best integrate with KDE.

Hmm, okay I can try the KDE version. I hope it's as pretty as the GNOME version though. I really can't get over the beauty in SUSE as opposed to Debian or Ubuntu (I'm talking about straight out of the box of course)
