Ahh. It sets it the same as 3.0 ghz to get 3.6ghz on my 780i. No difference. Just figured it had a set voltage for certain CPU's. Oh well.

lol 3.6 is a nice speed with a nice voltage. I only run mine at 4GHz cuz I lucked out on an early chip. 4GHz (500x8FSB FTW!) with 1.28vCore

C'mon, you dont have AC? Im in south Fl too, my room temp is 70F, my pc ambient sits at 25-30c...
Long story short, I am renting the 2nd floor of a duplex with a buddy that is right on the ocean. The insulation around the windows and doors of this place are just as old as the building itself. I have no problem with the warm weather myself, but my computer will. So I could either have a ridiculous utility bill, or pay next to nothing since I have a sweet breeze going through my place thanks to the ocean. My computer still rocks at stock, and I don't have to worry about temps. I feel I have made the right decision. Small price to pay in my opinion to live a summer at the beach.

Yeah - I want a bare minimum of 3.6ghz because I dont want ANY problems occuring with my friend's computer. XD

Then I'll be the one to suffer.

I'm currently 1hr stable in orthos at 3.9Ghz@1.304v (auto in bios) using CPU-Z 1.54. Does this mean I'm not giving it enough power since it keeps the same volts when i go to 4Ghz? does the extra .01-.06 help that much? I believe my ram is holding me back but after reading through this article I'm wondering if I should take it off auto and set it to like 1.31v or something maybe 1.32v and see if it will stable out at 4Ghz. But I doubt it because of p.o.s ram...

what is the difference between the VID:1.2250v (Core Temp 0.99.5) and Core Voltage: 1.304v (CPU-Z 1.54)??
