Just my .02. Sorry if you don't agree with me.
they probably couldnt have to be honest. if you thing of a sandbox level which most single player games run on. The processor only has to deal with the content inside that level and the scripted processes etc. Whilst in GTA you have the entire city to process because there are no loading screens past the 1st load. and practically nothing is scripted. You can't expect crysis-beating graphics here. GTA3 never had the best graphics for PS2 but it did have the best gameplay. Its a living breathing game and to run that at 720p at decent frames like I said takes a lot more than you think. GTA IV does use a decent graphics engine and it looks alot better than previous-gen GTA games. Nobody here has played it yet so nobody can truly judge until they play 16 player online free-roam in liberty city. Then i challenge anyone to say this game doesnt deliver..

Totally agree. Crysis had a lot of open roaming, but a lot of scripting. You can go ANYWHERE in Liberty City.

Don't give me that crap. Hand in hand, psha!

lol

So Crysis achieved near photo-realism, but what did the game have to show for it? Tons of glitches, easy hackability, and stupid AI. All the enemies look the same, what ever. As I said, Crysis pushed a benchmark, nothing more. It looks real? Great, what did they do with it? NOTHING.

Crysis was a game, Half-Life 2 and GTAIV are pieces of art.

If you can't tell the difference, so help me.
I had not a single glitch and I thought the AI was spectacular with the cover system. Oh well, to each his own I guess. We are probably both right in our respective opinions but oh well. Enjoy your GTA man and have a great evening

Sorry, I wasn't trying to get in a fight. I just really like artistic style.

And my crysis experience was less then memorable. (lol not on my PC. IT barely ran...)

There were places you couldn't go in Crysis??? The terms "roaming" and "scripting" aren't meant for the same sentence. You can "roam" in GTA but you eventually and frequently run into some scripts. Oh well, as I said to the other, to each his own. We are both right. Enjoy GTA!

Yes there were tons of places you couldn't go in crysis . It was always pissing me off infact, as I liked sneaking around alot. I spent probally 25 mins trying to get on a ledge, only to be slayed for going out of the map .

well would you looky here, a post that makes sense.

because theres so much hype, its human nature for people to disagree just to stand out.

IMO this game will probably be one of the only games in a long time to completely and beyond, live up to the hype that its been spreading. Crysis and Assassins Creed completely bombed at that task.

i will be getting this game the minute it releases!! literally. You can catch me lining up monday night at bestbuy!

cant wait!

I can't wait either, but if this turns out to be another over hyped game, like H3 or Crysis, i think ill give up all hope on gaming, and go back to playing Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time for the 10th time....

Holy crap

Without question, Grand Theft Auto IV is the best game since Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Oh, and...

Quote:
"For those wanting to know which version looks better, the edge goes to the PS3. The textures and framerate are comparable, but the PS3 has far less pop-in. The 360 has richer colors, but the PS3 has better anti-aliasing making it look a little cleaner. Because GTA IV can preload onto the PS3 hard drive, the in-game loads are faster. Don't worry Xbox owners, the load times are rarely more than 30 seconds and don't occur very often. The slight visual edge goes to PS3, but the 360 is no slouch. Either version will do you proud. "
