Wii, PS3 or X360? Read carefully - Page 4

Wii:
The Wii is fun if the Game is made by Nintendo. Most other games suck. Also, I do not believe that you will be able to make your own character with the Wii version of Rock Band.

PS3:
Exports in 1080p and has a Blu-Ray player. Has mostly JRPG's. If you are into Japanese style RPG's or GT5 and blowing 600+ on a console, go ahead. The tech will keep you up there. Possibly future proofed?

360:
At the moment, the best console out there. Hands down best internet service, lots of exclusives, games that are on both 360 or PS3 look better on the 360 (currently), best GamePad for Shooters. If you like Shooters, you just found your home.

Note: From my play of both, GH3 and RB play the same on both 360 and PS3.
[/UNBIASED]
Extra note: Someone has still yet to explain to me personally how the PS3 will beat the 360. Every game I have played on the PS3 I have loved better when I played it on the 360. And absolutely zero of the PS3 exclusives held my attention for more than 10 minutes.
Nice unbiased post.

The PS3 is now $399 and $499, and you can easily get a used console for 80% or less of the new cost. Sony made the mistake of releasing at $599. The $600+ myth is not going to leave any time soon

Guys guys! great answers...i <3 when ppl answer like that! with real reasons. Ok first thank you for all your help.
2nd. Dont forget that i like multiplayer games (RB, GH3, etc) things you can play with many many ppl...i dont care about fable or w/e (not flaming just letting you guys know). I hate shooters for Consoles...PC beats in graphics and easier for me to play...i play them cuz of my friends. I just like to have fun...im not a hardcore console gamer...im a hardcore pc gamer hehe. The tv is for the house, and the fact that ps3 has blu-ray is making me take it. Wii is tempting since i always have ppl at home and it seems more entertaining to play with Wii controllers than others. I have to take x360 out since im not willing to pay for online entertainment or start buying a lot of games...altho i <3 M$ (dont flame me) and i've worked there and have friends there but, sorry X360 = not me

BTW: Thanx Rod and the others for the help...

Depends really, weather you will be doing Single Player, Multiplayer or both.

Now from experince, I own both PS3 and Xbox 360 and in all honesty, I reckon the Xbox 360 is better for Single player AND Multiplayer, whereas PS3 isnt as good for MP but is great for single player.

So really depends what you wanna do at the end of the day.

Hope this helps

I have both 360 and PS3. PS3 is just sitting in my room, folding, mainly because there's not any good games for it. My 360 on the other hand gets played everyday for HALO 3, NBA 08 & COD4. Live is awesome, although paying for it isn't. If you have any friends with a 360, you should go with the 360. Playing online is very nice. The only game I plan on getting is GTA IV for my PS3.

Ive been playing rock band and GH3 on the 360 for a long time and I can say that if you plan on buying live than XBOX is the way to go... its community is MUCH bigger than PS3/wii online.

Infact my friends that have the wii/ps3 versions rarely can even find a game.

Wii would be the absolute worse console to get for these 2 games, it doesnt even support dolby digital, or high definition.

PS3 has RB and GH3...plus it has the same sports games...i dont play GTA4...i hate it, and yes you can flame me for that :O hehe...X360 out of the map...lol...wont pay 1 cent for MP....i got all the best MP for PC and i dont pay 1 penny to play them.

True, my friends have X360 and its a very good console. But now i see that it doesnt fit for me. PS3 or Wii....lol

PS3 for free online playing, AND the fact that movies will look GORGEOUS on that nice LCD of yours. I've had a xbox 360, sold it before the price cuts because it was just another console. I hated paying to play online. PS3 can play PS2 and PSX games, but ONLY on the 60gb and the 80gb im hearing.

Hey, no problem... glad to give some help. The trick is identifying the person's need/want and matching it with their persona. To me it seems you are wanting to play with other people in the same room. It isn't as important to be playing over the net from what I can tell. To be honest so many games are released on both the 360 and PS3. I would say the differences for those games are moot, and even more so in your case. Your primary games are geared towards either a fun experience and/or a social interaction, preferably in the company of others. All that in mind their are many games from sports to music games (GH, RB, etc.), to brawlers on both the Wii and PS3. I think the PS3 will be used more though considering it's other features. All that in mind I think the PS3 is a good choice for your setup and goals while eventually acquiring the Wii. It will provide the most diversity and potential. Good luck with your setup and the Sharp Aquos is a great TV!!!
