Gotcha, thanks

Adrien: How loud is your case and how many fans are you using in your case?
Spice003: same question as above.

Using my many Decibel sensors I just happen to have hooked all over the walls....I'd say about 25dBA. On a comfort note, I'm fine with that since its a very deep, low hum It makes. Cosmos is great for sound dampening, and none of my fans are rated over 30dBA.

Thats when they're all on high, on low I wouldn't say it's inaudible, but it's as loud as my old rig, which has 3 fans. I have (one sec...) 8 fans.

Heres my case when I had like 11 fans lol:

(You can see the temps I used to get...ouch. Now with half the fans I get 10C off, all thanks to a good reseat )

that's crazy!

there must've been some sort of a vortex to another dimension in there, so much air moving around....both of you guys

In my p182 I have all the available fan area's taken up. 5x120's +1cpu+2vga+1psu=9 fans.
I was looking at a thread with application of AS5 and I think i put too much on it. I'm gonna redo it when I get back on monday.

How much worse do you guys think a TT Big Typhoon VX is than a TRUE? HardOCP's difference in temps is 2-3C I was wondering if you guys know from personal experience.

lol I was wondering too.

Id say a 5C difference with a TRUE, especially if you lap it and put 2 fans on it like this:

OK, here's my latest attempt. I put a little blob on a paper towel, picked a little up with a pin and then tried to spread it in a line. I wanted to post these before I put my system back together and get your opinions.

First pic

Second pic

How does that look?

You wont like this lol. I still say too much

Since one thick line will cover the whole area but suffocate it, you need to make it thinner. But if you make it thineer, you will cover less space, so you need to apply 2 or more very thin lines for the best of both worlds.

Oh yeah, and since you aren't afraid to manhandle your CPU, I'd suggest to lap at least the sides of it so it isn't concave. If not you're left with an air pocket which youll have to fill with TIM, which is poopy.

Should I just do one of these lines or do the two look OK? I just can't seem to get an ultra-thin line with this pin. :/
