Hard drive dilemma

Thread Starter
So right now I have a 250gb WD and a 500gb western digital. Both AAKS series. (if that makes a difference). My next big upgrade is going to be hard drive space/performance. I want to bump up my storage by at least 750gb and I want to keep the price under $300.

My goals are increased storage, increased all around performance (read, write, random access, etc), and reliability.

My options seem to be:

-get one spinpoint F1 1TB or 750gb.
-get two F1 750gb and go RAID0
-get two 640GB WD and go RAID0
-get 3+ more 250gb hard drives and RAID0 them all
-get a couple more 500GB and raid them

what are your suggestions? What would be my best path and/or combination of paths? Thanks.
