According to a Micron rep. they pretty much halted production on DDR2 to focus on DDR3, then realised that there was still a huge demand, and have started back up again.
You'll start to see a resurgence of Micron kits but, mostly X x1GB Kits;(I believe These
are their only decent (CAS @ speed) OC'able 2x2 kit they offer
- and IIRC
they are single sided and not Micron, and only 800MHz)
They Kind of "dipped out" of DDR2 during the whole 2x2GB surge and most memory guys had to move onto another manufacturer.
Since then, they have had very pleasant results with Elpida, ProMOS; and amazing, cool, low-voltage results from powerchip IC's; So many are now reluctant to abandon those, not too much in favor of returning to the Micron fold. (Though I guess Micron could
strong arm Crucial)

The list is old and no longer up to date!
The Mushkin rep who tells you that they haven't used Micron ram in over a year, is your friend!
(give me a few and I'll drag up the thread/link/email/ general discussion)
