Seriously,
PK 800 = PQ 1000 (but aren't binned as well) which are both better than the PQ 800 (Differnt IC and lower Binning)

Apparently, the new, ballistics are not Microns either, (Most 2x2 kits are in fact PSC),
The G.Skills you are looking for are the 8 layer PCB 8500s;
I even got a Mushkin "guy" to admit that "Yeah, they'll probably clock higher than my high end sticks"

Hop over to the XS forums, they have some great OC threads discussing OCability of various 2x2 kits.

The only kit that I have seen produce "real world" results better than the G.Skills was on a thread over there where a guy got 8GB of Dommies 1066s up to highish 11s on reasonably low volts.
The new OCZ flex will run 1150s all day, but, has issues:
With the watercooling nozzles, unless you are W/C'ing them then probably they are not too great on cooling (with the reduced fin area- dunno tho, haven't seen any real reviews or members with a set raving about them.), They Won't fit under your cooler, and You can't fit more than two sticks in 99.99% of MoBo's (They're even thicker than the Geils.) and they're rate at something like 2.4V for "stock" 1150 from the factory. Toasty!
Go for the G.Skills 8500 PK
Cheers
Well if Crucial doesn't have Microns then who the hell is using the chips made by Micron? Must be some evil nerd hording them.

ah newegg still sells the HZ's

According to a Micron rep. they pretty much halted production on DDR2 to focus on DDR3, then realised that there was still a huge demand, and have started back up again.
You'll start to see a resurgence of Micron kits but, mostly X x1GB Kits;(I believe These are their only decent (CAS @ speed) OC'able 2x2 kit they offer- and IIRC they are single sided and not Micron, and only 800MHz)
They Kind of "dipped out" of DDR2 during the whole 2x2GB surge and most memory guys had to move onto another manufacturer.
Since then, they have had very pleasant results with Elpida, ProMOS; and amazing, cool, low-voltage results from powerchip IC's; So many are now reluctant to abandon those, not too much in favor of returning to the Micron fold. (Though I guess Micron could strong arm Crucial)

The list is old and no longer up to date!
The Mushkin rep who tells you that they haven't used Micron ram in over a year, is your friend!

(give me a few and I'll drag up the thread/link/email/ general discussion)

I know, they're Only x1GB, but, still indicative.

And from our own OCN community:
Ballistx x38/x48 Issues
&
New ballistix are Horrible

I would definitely go for the G-Skills for two reasons -
1. (4x1gb) sticks of ram (as opposed to the 2x2g G.skills)...
2. the single sided modules are horrible..

I think I'm going to dump mine (Ballistix) here soon and pick up some G Skills. Lot's of people are having success with them!
Score 1 for G.Skill
&
Ballistix vs G.Skill
About 8+ more for G.skill (Too many to mult-quote)
&
Oh, NVM, you get the Idea!
