Help with 4x1gb Ballistix

So, I've had 4x1gb DDR2-800 Ballistix for some time now. They worked just fine for a while but last month all the sudden I had random programs and services crashing left and right. I tested each stick one at a time, did a pass of memtest86 for each to see if any gave any errors. 2 of the sticks showed errors, two did not. So I put the two good sticks in and ran Memtest in Windows beyond 200% test of unused RAM. I set up an RMA with crucial, and just installed the new sticks tonight. Guess what, still errors!

CPUZ says the ram is working at DDR2-802, 4-4-4-12-26 with a 2T command rate. Abit monitoring utility says the vdimm is 2.14v. I can't set it to 2.2, the board offers a 2.1v, or a 2.25v, and it overvolts both settings. Now, currently my processor is overclocked, so that I can get an effective DDR2-800, otherwise it's like DDR2-700 because of the 10.5x multiplier. I'm just curious if there are any settings I might have wrong, something I can check? I really hope the new sticks aren't bad, or that the last of the original pair isn't dead either. I'm going to test them individually tomorrow, but I was still curious if there are certain settings that might cause ram errors with 4x1gb versus 2x1gb.

its possible that the 10.5 multi is the problem as it is an odd number and in most cases it will give u problems

Why should it? I'm just curious. All it does is make the ram divider round down as opposed to up. I can try 10x, but why would they use half multipliers if it would cause issues with RAM?

Yes it is the half muitiplyer that has your Ram running ddr700 it's not a problem if you OC your system as the Ram will run higher the farther you go!
