Yesterday in local Japanese store appeared the video card radeon HD 3650 with AGP 8x interface. It is based on 55 nm chip RV635 with 128- bit memory system bus , and it is completed by 512 mb GDDR- 3 memory . The low energy consumption level allow the to video card to be satisfied by modest cooler .

Let us note that the six-pin power connector and adapter to the four-pin are provided in the delivery set.

On the rear panel there are DVI, D -Sub ports and TV-out with HDTV support . RV635 video chip have 120 stream processors and support directX 10.1 . Default video card frequencies are equal to 725/1400 MHz, this is less than radeon HD 3650 PCI express x16 version (725/1600 MHz). In Japan this card cost $145.

I wonder how this performs.

Whats the point of this?

any high level (7950, 7900, x1x00) should easily be able to beat the heck out of this card.

They should just have released a 3850 in AGP or something instead.

there are 3850s in AGP...

I think they are just trying to further capitalize on those that still have AGP-based systems.

The ONLY thing that will kill AGP is thermal nuclear warfare.

That also happens to be one of the the things that almost does count in. The other is horse shoes.
