Magic Tune Premium: good or bad?

Thread Starter
In a thread I made about 2 hours ago entitled "Major computer problems. I'm begging for your expertise!", I had a computer problem that seemed major at the time, but now it appears that Magic Tune Premium might have been the culprit.

Here's basically what happened: I was in a thread that called for me to open up NVIDIA Control Panel, so I went for it in the System Tray. I got nothing. I couldn't right-click, so Explorer.exe was locked up. I could still finish my post, so I figured I'd deal with it later.

Long story short, I ended up cold booting, and at the end of the startup process, there was a BSOD. After a several BSOD/auto reboots, I noticed that the BSOD seemed to be caused by Magic Tune trying to load. I had 2 successful boots out of like 10 cycles where the BSOD flashes before me and it restarts. With those 2 successful boots, I noticed that at the exact moment I expected the BSOD, I saw the Magic Tune splash screen, and then everything was cool.

So, I uninstalled it, and now everything is fine.

Here's my question (finally): is Magic Tune known to be a problem? I'm assuming the answer is "yes". I ended my night last night with a game. And for the first time ever, I decided to use Magic Tune to set the Magic Bright to "Game", and when I was done, I used Magic Tune to set it back to "Custom". I left the computer on as I always do and went to bed. And then I woke up, and came here and went to that thread. No reboot whatsoever.

But if there's some patch to fix this, I'm all for it. My monitor is two arm-lengths away from me, so pressing the buttons isn't exactly convenient for me. I'd bring it closer, but that's impossible right now. Besides, the gained desk space vs. CRT is really cool.

I'm not a big fan of them magic fixers coz sometimes they solve a issue and start others. anyway, did you try to run Advanced WindowsCare 2 Pro?
