Thinking of upgrading my PS

Thread Starter
Ok heres my situation at the moment, I have a 580w power supply with 2 12v rails and 17amps per rail. I'm able to OC each of my video cards stable @ 648/1500/1900 and game with each single card for hours with no problems.

Now when I put them together for SLI and try to OC them and game I'd get the black flickering screens and bsod/driver stops responding when I'm trying to load into my game(the witcher) with the OC stats I listed above. Now it would actually work if I just left the cards at stock speeds but not if I try to OC them.

So my question is this power supply the verdict of my BSOD/Driver failure? The cards work great when stock in SLI but just like all of us here on these forums we want to get a little more out of our hardware.

I'm thinking of ordering this PS if ya'll think that this may be the root of the problem with my current PS.

yep, your PSU is the cause of your problems. Just not enough power.

The one you picked is very nice, but overkill. You could settle for the 650W version. But if you're willing to spend the extra few $$, it's more than worth it.
