Q6600 G0 temps =/

Thread Starter
My Q6600 is overclocked to 3 GHz and the VID is 1.325 in Coretemps. On load my core temps are 55,52,47,49. That seems kinda low to me. Im using a Artic Cooler 7 Pro. Are those core temp readings accurate?

thats about right. the temps dont realy start to go up until you get to 3.2+. 3.0 is a good o/c, but with a GO, its pretty mild. you should be able to get 3.2. are you running prime95 for your stress test?

Sounds about right to me, not knowing your ambients. After 3ghz is when things start to warm up.

also room temp should play a factor, you might want to OC when its a warm compared to cold days.

room/ambient temp-voltage-Freq all play a part in temps.....

at 3.0 and stock voltage (which you should choose a setting in bios 1.325) and an arctic 7 you are about right...

you will see an increase if you up the volts and freq, but you should be fine for 3.24Ghz

Your going to need more voltage to get stable any higher, for 3.2 Id say your gona need between 1.36-1.38v under load, Thats about where I am for load vcore (1.34-1.36), which is at 1.42 idle (vdroop madness) my VID is slightly lower than urs 1.3125..
