Gah. My mistake. Thought it said "independent developer"......

Inaccurate title.

Nowhere in the article does it say Ubisoft is the largest independent publisher. It says "Ubisoft strengthens as one of the industry's largest independent publishers."

Aye, a very important distinction.

They used to really have a reputations for ruining games, but lately i've actually been very impressed with them. I hope they continue to grow.

I remember when Sands of Time hit, I asked a friend, when did Ubi stop sucking? To date they never published any of my absolute favorite titles, but most of them have been solid B's(Dragon's Lair, Beyond Good and Evil, etc.) and even A's(Assassin's Creed, R6:Vegas). They have had their share of recent disappointments(PoP2, Call of Juarez, Sniper Elite). Note, these are all PC versions that I'm discussing.

Now if only one of them would Google the term "quicksave"...

nothing wrong about a game without quicksave.

Makes the game more challenging to play and means you arnt quicksaving after killing every group of guys. Also makes you play better since you'll care if you die.

No does not make the game more challenging, it makes the game irritating. If I've already been through an area I don't want to start all the way at the beginning because the last part is a bit tougher than the lead up.

Games are all about losing and then finding a better way the next time, failing untill you learn a way to get through. Then you can be really happy you finally found a way. One reason why I don't enjoy easy games lol, you have to be able to lose.
