[meow] My Comp Not Starting!!!!

haii!!! i just went to a swapmeet this morning, with my computer fully working, but then, after i came back, i jsut installed a second lan card on my motherboard, and then, and thennnn, IT DIED!!!! well not really, it jsut doesnt want to start really. i pressed the switch and it doesnt respond. ill jsut let u know a few things about this comp

1. b4 i went to the swapmeet i took one of the ram sticks from my comp (theres 4) to show the guy at the hsop which type of ram. i kept it in my pocket so it isnt very safe and when i went back i just placed that ram back in place (the same one). comptuer didnt start, so i tried removing the ram, didnt start

2. i placed a second hand pci network card in it and then tried to start it but it didnt start, so i removed it and tried if that helped, it didnt

3. i bought a external hard drive case to make my internal hard drive into a usb, so i took off my main drive from taht comptuer (b4 knowing that it cudnt start) and put it in the case and now its a xternal hdd YAY!, after i noticed the computer didntstart, i tried putting the hdd back, no go boyz.

it began to frustrate me, and here are somemore things....

4. i bought a cheapo second hand motherboard to place next top my other comptuer to add onto the cluster of computers im slowly trying to build. seems like the turd who sold me the mobo sold me a non working one.*^%&^%^U%$%&#*. so now i have two f49823947293ed up mobos. but both of them seem to have the excactly same problem, the lights on the mobo is on, but it just doesnt want to turn on after i plugged in the button to turn it on, iot doesnt turn on. i

i tried the power button to my other mobos and it starts them up perfectly so i doubt the button is the case. bare in mind that these two mobos are not in computer cases, theyre jsut sitting on the table cos theyre really cheap and lousy soo they dont deserve a 30 dolalr case XP.

but i doubt ive been aggressive with them so that doesnt give them a reason to not work. can anyone help me plzz??

ummm. well. 1 calm down and use a lil more proper english

Since they are out in the open they might be grounding out. make sure there's a piece of plastic or cardboard under the entirety of the mobo(s). Also putting hte RAM stick in your pocket could of killed it. ever gotten somethign out of the dryer and gotten shocked? well w/ all the movement in the pocket it could have gathered enough of a static charge to kill it. IDK if you've tested teh stick in other rigs tho or not...

go thru the typical stuff, make sure everything is tight and in place properly. Possibly completely disassemble and reassemble, etc.

Also try manually jumping the pins for the power on button w/ liek a screw driver or something metal momentarily. Make sure any 4 or 8-pin aux mobo power connectors are plugged in aswell.

If u want an easy CMOS reset, Hold Down your INSERT Key and then press the power button on. Then straight away jump into your BIOS screen and make the changes you think are cauzing the problems.

Ummm check that the Power Up button is connected properly to the MoBo.. Too many times I've gone inside a case and accidentally unplug it and thought I fried my board.

Ummm check if it's plug into the wall and if so make sure the light switch is ON if there is one.

pull everything from your mainboard except for the cpu and vid card. then try. oh, by the way, if you have a power led on your mainboard - is it lit? if you pull everything and it responds then add one stick of ram, etc. until you find the bad piece. also, check to make sure both your mainboard (i assume you have 2) power leads are connected and seated tightly.

Have you tried powering them up with a different PSU...Your PSU may be bricked.
