I moved the members around according to Speed, so if you want to move up give me Speed, vcore, VID, and a ScreenShot. I will be adding VID soon, been kinda busy at work (US Air Force) so I have not had a lot of free time. But I have to say we have a great group of guys here and I'd love to see us put some SuperPi #'s up I'm going to do some tweaks and then I will add mine. As of right now I'm at...

17s - 1M
19m 17s - 32M

I know I can do better but I'm only at 3.0Ghz right now. Good luck.

This is what they look like so far. I don't know if the 790i has a new BIOS update but if it has one you should see if it might help. I updated mine to P4 and it's great. I will update to P5p if I need it.

Hey guys im new and I just built my new rig and I got the Q9300 over the Q6600 which I have in my old rig. I have not overclocked it yet as im new to the whole OC game. That and im waiting to get my new fans to do the push pull effect on my heat sink. If anybody has any advice and recomendations I would greatly appreciate it. Also tec how do I join the Q9300 club? Anywho im kinda excited to see how fast I can get this beast up to!

but i will clock up again, and get a screenshot like they demand.

3.0 should be easy, you need ca. 1.16-7 vcore, take the nb and sb from auto, and bump them 1-2 steps over normal.
and then raise the fsb till 400 divider 7.5.
that should do the trick for 3.0, maybe set your ram manual also

i'm a newb here and i have a quick question for you folks. i just built a system using a q9300. i am concerned with the individual core temps. i am using realtemp 2.5 and hw monitor. they display different temps, but they show nearly identical variances in the individual core temps, which is what i'm concerned about.

from left to right, here are the temps realtemp display:
35C 33C 31C 54C

if you want to know what hw monitor is displaying, just add 10C to each of those numbers.

obviously, the last core is the one i am concerned with. realtemp doesn't display a core number, but hw monitor shows it as core #2.

should i RMA the processor? or is this a common problem and there isn't really anything wrong?

realtemp is correct, hw monitor is wrong because it's using a TjMax value of 105C.

Are those idle or load temps? What CPU cooler are you using? What are the ambient temperature in the room the system is in? Basically I'm trying to find out what temp you should expect. At 3.4GHz I idle around 53C with a Tuniq Tower in a pretty cool room, so if your setup is similar to that, then 54C is probably correct and you have 3 stuck temp sensors (stuck sensors are common with the 45nm chips, although having 3 of them stuck is really unlucky). If you have a similar setup but no OC, then the ~30C temps are probably correct and one of your sensors is totally fracked.

At any rate, my money is on 3 stuck sensors since that's a common problem. But it's also possible that the one sensor is busted.
