I have so many fans that im afraid my computer will fly out the window. And you can't really trust the temp sensors on your CPU. If you want the right temps you have to measure it yourself.

3 fans in the case, and a biggie on the cpu, occt reporting 67,63,64,red x. though the pc has been working hard all day,cpu around 100% for 8 hours so far, though speedfan showing 63,59,60, 65. still too warm for my liking. how can i check core temps myself?
fwiw, my cpu cooler is cold to touch, though northbridge (next door) could fry eggs

occt shows 10 °C too much. Try Realtemp http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...Temp_2.60.html

I have attached a temp sensor on the cobber of my cooler and thats the reading occt use for me, thats why the temps are so low there. Prob not accurate, but the built in sensors seems way off on my CPU.

I actually burned myself on the northbridge earlier today btw. Hehe. Attached a fan to it after that.

Welcome Ormen82 glad to have you here.

For the rest of you Guys, I've been on vacation in the great city of Coeur'd Alene, ID. I also have not been on my computer for the last few weeks because I flashed my GFx card with the wrong BIOS and now I'm waiting for them to send me the old one so I can flash it back.

Just reseated my ninja and still getting high idle and load temps for stock. Idle is 47/44/45/39 with load at 62/58/60/55. I used the line method first time and just a grain of rice this time. Guess I need to lap the ninja but when I put CPU and HS together with light behind it I can barely see through on the edges. Lot better then some pictures of prelapping I have saw on here. I guess I could do the CC method like I do on the p4 3.0 I got. It always seems to work the best. Probably should go ahead and do push pull on the ninja too. I got to work on chipset temps. Mine are about 9C higher then what's being reported for this board.

What is normal idle across the four cores in RT running stock? ITT there are people with near same temps as me but at 3.0+.

Has anyone tried to see how low of voltages you can get at stock speeds. I'm struggling with the southern heat so I'd like to see how cool I can keep the chip even if it means running at stock speeds till the weather cools off.

@ spintab
That will depend on your VID, the lower vcore is needed to run your CPU.

Well guys,

I have had my rig at work for a while. Vista apparently doesn't work with Windows Server 2000. If any of you know how to make the two talk - that would be great.

Anyways, I got my computer OC'd to 2.63ghz @ 1.25v today. It seems to be running stable, but I can't get it any higher. My ram is running on auto fsb, so it has increased from 800mhz to 865mhz (i think). I had it at 2.7ghz for a short while, but it wasn't very stable. I want to get the system to 3ghz and my ram up to 1066. This OC is turning out to be harder than I thought it would be...
