What are the actual speeds, I can't find anywhere on their site where it says the upload/download speed, just "Up to 20Mbps". Is it Asymmetric or Symmetric?

I ask because FIOS is up to 50Mbps/20Mbps.

Bah, I'm in San Diego...this is gonna take a while lol. But compared to Cox Cable and their packages my parents are paying about 41 bucks for the preferred plan along with the tv/phone package because its SOMEWHAT convenient. Right now I'm getting 7Mbps of download and 512kps of upload. If I paid the "Faster" package for Fios, I would be getting 15Mbps and 2Mbps. For 52.99 that's almost double what I have now for a gain of 10 USD!

I get about 600MB/s average... with my onboard lan dead, I only get about 200MB/s average.

notice the big B (bytes) as opposed to the little b (bits). Not sure what the conversion is...
So you guys have to stop complaining about your 7Mb/s internet connections

Are you sure its not 600KB/s? Cause otherwise you can get the hell out of here with your 4.8Gbps connection. (1 byte = 8 bits).

so what your saying is that you get 4800Mb/s but with the onboard lan dead you only get 1600Mb/s.

FIOS sucks, who gives a damn.

If I want to share an internet connection with my neighbors, I would tap into their line illegally. But I don't want to (or need to for that matter) , so I won't.

The last time I checked, Verizon offered up to 30Mbps.
