btw get something better than stock cooling if you want to hit your goal
Sure, go for it. There are some people who clocked about 5GHz on watercooled Duos without too much worring.
Ok, shaded resistor again and... well, worked insightly better. Went from LargeFFT 1,472v to be blinking between 1,480 and 1,472. Damn, I'm going to waste the whole pencil spear on the resistor xD
About this, what makes me look pissed off to the board is, that when I was waiting for the RMA of this board, the old GB was able to do 3,95GHz with this Q6600, more or less stable, and without GTL VREF. So, anyway, the problem is not the CPU, not at all.
Trying to shade again. If I can do the pencilmod correctly, so it don't crash at Small FFT, I would be fine on 3,60.
Pd. Btw, thanks for the fast help!
Edit: Ehhhhh... okay: Now I've got reverse Vdroop. xD
From 1,520 idle at 1,524 full. Only need to push down the voltage a bit in the BIOS and will be okay. And maybe with 1,52x I'm able to 3,7GHz... 3,6 only needed 1,470.Edited by Eastrider - 2/27/09 at 2:50am
