Placing my order later this evening, and hopefully I won't have any problems setting it up when I get it in.
Mmansueto is having a huge WCing sale if the For sale section, shop there! He's great to deal with!

i wouldn't get that. upgrading it will pretty much be an overhaul and you won't get the temps you want. i would start with this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835108109
it comes and goes from newegg so here is another place to get it:
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/84...html?tl=g30c83
but its by far the best water cooling starter kit. comes with the apogee gtz water block, 240 rad, and the MCP655-B pump which is a great pump. aside from piecing a loop together yourself this is the best option.

Hey Twisted, are you stock cooling the NB? I'm @ 3.825 w/1.24vcore/1.3v fsb/1.45v NB. I'm using a antec spot cool head zipped to the NB fins & I wondering what others temps are. BTW, going for 4Gs tomorrow! THx

stock with artic silver 5 for tim. idle is 54*C and load is about 59*C (its hot here in iowa) my case has pretty bad airflow so that isn't helping me either. good luck on getting 4GHz! i can get windows to load and get passed about 1.5hrs of occt with 4GHz. still trying to get the volts right (so close!!!!!) but i haven't tried to tweak it lately cause of school and the summer temps.

I am currently testing lane 2 at 120mV, 90 and 110 were stable.
Mean, meaning middle. Let's say your lane 1 will run stable as low as 20 and as high as 120. Then the mean or the middle of the road would be 70.

It didnt get stable til 60mV. making the mean 85mV, I have been doing linpacks all day! Anyways.

Testing lane 3 @ 80mV now, with:

Lane 0: 60mV
Lane 1: 85mV
Lane 2: 60mV

Lane 3 crashed at 90mV, strange.

OCCT Linpack here. Pretty much all day. Did house work while I stop by the PC every now and then.

Started with 1800QDR x 8 for 3.6Ghz

Previous setting from 1600FSB turned out
Lane 0 +50
Lane 1 +50
Lane 2 +70
Lane 3 +70

After running through the lanes at 1800 I'm at:

Lane 0 +80 (Everything between +0 and +160 passed)
Lane 1 +55 (Everything between +0 and +110 passed)
Lane 2 +60 (Everything bwtween +0 and +120 passed)
Lane 3 +80 (Everything between +0 and +160 passed)

Currantly 30mins into testing 1.3v FSB now. Individually each lane passes at +0, but when all four lanes are at +0 it fails. If 1.3v FSB passes, I'm going to eventually run thru them again and see if they can be tightened even more. Now that vFSB is lower, I'm assuming the tolerance will be lower.

EDIT: 1 hour stable OCCT Linpack.

What a nightmare. I guess I cant just put the fear of god into this motherboard for 1600FSB, 1.55vFSB and SPP + my tweaked GTL lanes...no dice.

Back to the drawing board....

edit: at the tweaked settings it was:
+60mV
+85mV
+60mV
+40mV

Bleh.

dv30, I would suggest upping your cpu voltage.
if you want 3.4, 3.5 stable, you may need to use as much as 1.5volts in bios.
tweaking my lanes helped me lower voltage on fsb, but these q6600's love voltage!
plus that high fsb voltage with low cpu voltage could be part of your stability problem. I don't think these boards like much past 1.4 volts on fsb

I went as high as 1.475v D:

I will try 1.5v today but Grunion stated it needed 1.42-.44vcore for 450x8 :/
