EVGA lifetime warranty FTW!!!
RMA will be ify with this board. Bought it off ebay. It is registered and they didn't RMA it once when I bought it off ebay. Received it with bent pins and EVGA was kind and replaced it for me. IDK, if they will do it a second time. I think the only reason they did it the first time was due to the fact that if was in the first year. I'm gonna try though. Not looking forward to ~3 weeks of down time though.

Temps are fine. Spikes are short, but the drop in voltage is causing instability.

Ordered a Striker II 780i board off ebay just a little bit ago.

is 1.4v FSB and 1.5v SPP in the safe zone? SPP is about 53c load.

1.5v SPP with 53C load is fine.

1.4v shouldn't be needed for an E0 e8400, unless you are running 2000+QDR. You are compensating for poorly managed GTL lanes by your board. If you follow the GTL guide in my sig you should be able to lower your vFSB to 1.2v.

If you need any help or have any questions about GTL tweaking, feel free to PM me.

Would this help me drop the Vcore as well? its at .35 right now. On my 3.8 OC it was only at .28.

I just ran 50 line pack linx and 20 pass IBT, Let me do a 13 orthos and a 13 blend and make sure it is 100% stable and then I will get back to you.

GTL adjustment will only help lower vFSB. vcore is unaffected.

I recommend 100 loops of any linpack test. I've seen it fail to many times at 40 and 50 passes. Orthos and prime are good tests to. Multiple tests is the way to go.

EDIT:

Geez vdroop is horrible!!!(-.6v) I'm considering penciling this thing back until the new board comes. Here's a quick OCCT run to show the drop.
It's a clear -.1v drop from BIOS(vdrop+vdroop).

Ran 2 hours OCCT Linpack last night and it didn't do it.

Oh, and the spikes have been 2.04v.
