EVGA 750i FTW Overclock Thread - Page 271

Hey!

I've been having problems lately to stay stable on LinX. I just get an error on the 2nd pass (no crash though). Tried tweaking settings but only had crashes and reboots.

Acutally I am

3,57GHz Multi x8
Ram 800 4-4-4-12-1T 2,15v (16h Memtest stable)
FSB 1,35, SPP 1,55
Lanes GTL 0 and 1 to 100, 2 and 3 to 85.

Any idea?

wish i could really help... igave up on this board a long time ago... the northbridge just cant take it.. try upping the voltage to 1.4. but tbh its almost a lost cause. i came to a personal conclusion that there arent enought vrms to maintain cpu stability and it doesn't help having the crappy nvidia chipset. i spent a year trying for 3.6 then i decided to

Lower your multi and test again. See if you can rule out the FSB and board as your factor.

I gave up. Board gives random locking with the same config. Sometimes I can't boot in to windows, sometimes I get errors, sometimes it locks, sometimes it reboots.

I'm back to 3,57 x8.

Can you do 3.6 with the 9 multi?

What FSB & FSB volts were you running?

Tha random lock ups seem more and more common with the 750i ftw's...

I got my 2nd rma sitting here with my E4300 & and cant even run IBT @ stock.....

I could, but not stable on mor ethan 10 minutes for Small FFTs. Had 3 different 750FTWs, I know how "lucky" I am.

Currently I'm sitting on 3,57 x8. Much more stable than 3,6 x9, but still have that little problem. It does not bother me, it does not even crash. But well, it annoys me.

Can Vcore have something to do with this?

I submitted RMA # 3 this morning.... Kept having issues with BSOD last night, so I did a mem diagnostic from windows disc, crash & long beeeeeep.... Put everything back together with my backup POS 775 board, booted up ran mem diagnostic and all was fine. Only difference in hardware was the 750i..

If you look through this thread you will see I am a loyal 750i guy, but right now I am not thrilled with evga... This is the 3rd board I am sending in..

EVGA make good boards. But this one is crap, not sure if because of the particular 750 Chipset. X58 boards are incredibily awesome.
