Does anyone have a good guide for setting the GTLs on these boards? I've been trying to get my E8400 completely stable at 4.5 and I think that will be the key. I have some general guides to NV boards and GTL lane settings, but I only see positive values listed in BIOS for the 750i FTW, no negative values.
Yeah thats true, but he has no cooling at all on his NB.
You haven't seen any negitive values for the 750i FTW because it dosen't support them. I think the 790i is the only one that does. Here are a couple of threads that helped me. The 2nd one especially.
What is GTLREF and what has it go to do with me?
This link can be a little misleading because on the 750i FTW, Lane 0 is usually 20 to 25mv higher than Lane 1.
GTLVref Fastlane adjustment
This link can really help dial in the GTLRef at a fast pace, just read the whole thread.
