Hi to everybody:
I've got a 750i SLI FTW too, from a month ago or less. a Q6600 G0 with 1,3125 VID on BIOS. And... actually I have two issues with it. All voltage realted. The board is art, but, this little things I can't set up fine start to piss a bit...
1- I had a Gigabyte DS4L 650SLI. On it, the same Q6600 was at 3,40GHz so rock stable at 1,40v idle on CPU-Z. And in here... I can't make it work. May be Vdroop thing (next question), or FSB/SPP/NF200 voltage... It's setted up at x9 multiplier, any recomendations about how many voltage to put? RAMs are 1,950v at 800Mhz 4-4-4-14-1T, tested a whole pass with Memtest 86 and totally rock stable.
2- In the old Gigabyte, the only reason to not put 3,60GHz was heat. Now I'm building a watercool sistem, with a Toyota LandCruiser radiator. So.. I was trying to find the voltage settings now, and after it, apply the water system when ready. But can't get it stable neither... just freezings and reboots (rarely BSODs). What I'm doing wrong? Too much vdroop? Or too, MB voltage issues?
And... I want to do a Pencil Mod on it, I saw the image at the start of the post, but I'm a bit afraid with those indications... I have to paint with the whole condensator? What condensator(s) I have to paint? The two welding points or just one? Paint the whole upper surface of it or just a zone?
Well, if somebody can help me out, I'll take as god or something... nobody in the other forums could help me out with a minimum of succes... Even I tried maaaany voltge configurations to find it out.
