Honestly... I wouldn't even bother: I'd send it back to the shop you got it from (or try and trade/sell it), but that's me, I'm really paranoid about that kind of stuff. I've seen it happen to mine... although your's is anodized (I'm not sure how thick or the level of quality regarding the coating...) The battery effect (galvanic corrosion) is very strong between AL and copper and not easily thwarted using mild chemicals for PC cooling say Vs a car which is concentrated Anti-freeze and other stronger additives.
___check around on google, it's been a while since I've dealt with newer fluids and stuff for todays new breed of water cooling, but again I wouldn't risk it, when you can send it back and take a minor restocking fee, or try kindly explaining to them about the misunderstanding you had about aluminum and copper. I lean on the side of caution...
