The best notbook for home/school use?

Thread Starter
Hi there.

Im looking for a notebook that will manage windows vista well, as some of the ones ive seen are disgraceful.

It cant be too expensive, although if I bought second hand it would reduce the price a lot, so looking at £500/$1000

The reason for this is a go into year 2 of my A-Levels after this summer, and even in the first year ive filled up about 10 books of A4 sheets, which is way too much and all my notes are messed up.

I know you can't order from the egg, but something along these lines should be fine, I'm guessing you would like SOME portability so I went for a 14"

I have an E1505 that's done really well for me, so I'd recommend the Dell Inspiron 1525...starts at £359
