Quick Question?

For the guys that mount their rad outside of the case how do you bleed your system without getting coolant everywhere? Is there a product the allows you to unhook tubing without dripping coolant?
(OK, maybe, not such a quick question)

You needed a drain line from the start. Preferably a Y or T connection between the CPU Block and Reservoir.

Hi.

<edit> oopsies... now I understand: "Drain" the loop not, "Bleed" the loop... ya. T-line for drainage.

Ignore the following -lol

Perhaps I am not interpreting your question correctly, but the loop should be closed and complete prior to bleeding.

Can you be more specific insofar as to what is the potential source of leakage?

Generally I like to turn the entire case from side to side and front to back whilst shaking it about...

The important part is that air does not re-circulate into the loop from the fill-point.

I have a completely closed loop. Just cooling my CPU with a Single fan rad mounted inside of my case. So I'm able to completely take out my entire WC system by taking off the CPU Block. However temps are an issue and would like to mount a H220 rad on top of my case. with 1/2 inch tubes coming from the top. But I would like to know how I will be able to fill and bleed the sytem if the tubing is in a fixed location?

I think I understand now.

I am also a fan of "removable loops", but in the situation that you speak of I try and keep the reservoir moveable.

When it comes to bleeding, I free up the reservoir so that it can tilt and rotate to keep the fill-point upright and the fluid level above the intake to the pump.

Then.... I rotate, turn and gently shake the entire case...

Seriously.

But since your Rad is on the top, you may want to simply shake that sucka around as the rad is where a high-percentage of the air gets caught.

Are you after quick dis-connect fittings?

If so, what hose size are you using?
