I dont think you will have to worry too much about cranking up the vdimm, and the NB should handle 4 modules just fine...
I agree..I would hesitate to crank up the vDIMM on any Ballistix lately, as they have had some rash of crap IC's [as far as voltage tolerances are concered]. If you experience any instability, try increasing the NBv first and NOT vDIMM. If anything, the NB will just need a small boost to cope with all the added memory addresses. For the most part, P35's and newer..are handling excess of 4gb's wonderfully even with moderate to high OC's.

Honestly, people need 8GB for their own content....

Why do I have 4GB of the Tracer instead of 4GB of crap....

BECEAUSE IT HAS FLASHING LIGHTS!

I have a Rampage X48, running 4gb's of 1066 at full 100% utilization for 20min intervals as it ghosts HDD's for data reconstruction. I will be upgrading it to 8gb's in order to speed up the process and still have resources available.

[4gb's @ 100% for ~20min is only running 1 HDD... the rig has 4 hot-swappable bays for simultaneous operation...I dont know if 8gb's is going to be enough to run 4x HDD's at once for reconstruction. ]
