Is The iPhone Worth It? - Page 2

Meh I don't like it. A phone needs buttons!! Especially if you're touting it as the ultimate web browsing media monster (which it isn't).
I'm more interested in the Voyager, mainly because it's pretty much everything anyone can want and has a qwerty keyboard.

The voyager IS a nice contender to the iPhone.

But the iPhone is still nicer IMO.

I'm getting a 3G iPhone this summer..

As for what 3G Is..

Quote:
3G technologies enable network operators to offer users a wider range of more advanced services while achieving greater network capacity through improved spectral efficiency. Services include wide-area wireless voice telephony, video calls, and broadband wireless data, all in a mobile environment. Additional features also include HSPA data transmission capabilities able to deliver speeds up to 14.4Mbit/s on the downlink and 5.8Mbit/s on the uplink.

I do get where you're coming from. I used my friend's iPod Touch and I couldn't use the touch screen to save my life (he had an NES emulator and I got owned in SMB ).

Though I still think I could get used to it after a while.

So a theoretical speed of 1.8MB/s down and 756KB/s up? That's pretty sick (compared to my initial idea of 375KB/s down).

I have an iPod touch. Which I'm cashing in for a 3G iPhone this summer.
But It took me about 1 week of continuous use to get used to the touch screen, Now i can't use a normal iPod to save my life. Lol sounds stupid but it's true. I can't make the click wheels work for nothing. And there's just something about being able to touch the screen and not have to actually push buttons.

I personally wouldn't spend the money on a phone like that, it's not worth it, to tell you the truth, and plus they're so expensive to keep track of. the doctor i work for said it was just so expensive, they have alot of problems, dont waste your money on it. he has a smart phone, now, and he still doesn't like it. me? i'm okay with a good olf fasion razor, or..just normal phone, lol. i mean, why do i need to go on the internet while i'm out and about, or why do i need to play only the best games on my phoen, i mean, come on...it's a phone.

The iPhone is an amazing phone. After you use it for like 2 weeks you will never want to touch those old fashioned buttons on "old" phones again.

Having physical keys is desirable to me, that's why I like my Blackberry 8300.

It is available in most urban/suburban areas. Also, in my area speeds are ~800kbs, so in my opinion it is worth the hype.
