Is The iPhone Worth It? - Page 4

I would get it...it's even better after jailbreaking it. I have a 16GB iPod touch and love it, and am thinking of getting the iPhone lol.

rediculously false.

i have a 2 line plan, with unlimited data for both phones, my bill is $112.50 each month. i have over 4000 minutes in my roll over bank.

you would have to be a straight dopin' retard to have over $100/month on 1 phone.

infact, my single line plan was only $70 month

Can it be jailbroken like an iPhone? If it can't it's inferior in my eyes.

Im going to be brutally honest with you, I have a 16gb one

Homebrew:
The iphone ROCKS! I can play gb, gbc, nes, snes, psx, sega genisis, sega cd, gba, and soon turbographics. Now the psx is still obviously slow, but being very actively worked on (the same guy did all these emus) the gb is full speed, but plays sound a little too fast. The nes is perfect. The snes needs a bit more work, and so deos the snes. The genisis needs work, but plays alright/good. Sega cd isnt so good, and gba needs work.

And the sdk is coming out so companys like EA are making ports fr the iphone, like an iphone SPORE!
Other than emus it has instruments you can play, and TONS of other homebrew!

Battery Life:
Depends, you said you dont txtx a lot so if you just listen to music and do some browsing it can be alright. I txt a lot, listen to music and browse every day and am left with 10%-30% battery life when I go to bed.

Phone:
reception, idk, where I live it has a lot of hills, so I am at a loss, but I will admit it has mediocre reception.

Music:
Its an ipod, if you like the ipod youll like the iphone, and even with my huge collection I can just put what I want onto 16gb.

Movies:
GREAT screen, and it looks great.

The touching/typing:
I like it, I was imediatly used to it, but I have heard of people taking up to a week to get used to it. I have large fingers and it does great, I just cant "blind" txt in class

Pros:
Homebrew
Screen
Typing
Music playing

Cons:
Size (16gb may not be big enough for all)
Typing (untill you get used to it)
Battery (I dont like HAVING to charge it every night with the amount I use it)
Reception
Price (but I hear about a severe price cut soon)
Quiet speakers, can be helped, but come on its an IPHONE I expected louder speakers

P.S. If you want you can hack it to run on T-mobile, which has very good cheap plans, or just take off the internet package for the iphone.

All in all, I really like mine and have so much fun on it every day, but if the N95 can catch up or beat it in terms of homebrew then Id say its up to personal prefrence.

Whoa! Lots of info! Yeah, the iPhone would be my new portable "tool". Like my old PSP was running a custom firmware and the only official game I ever played was Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Man I loved using VNC to control my computer from the other room.

Also I'm giving +Reps to everyone who's helped.

Before my 5.5th Gen I had a 1GB 1st Gen nano. It was a giant pain in the ass because it seemed like I had to swap songs on and off of it so that I could listen to my favorites, and not a large portion of my collection like I had intended.

Plus I don't think I could go another month without a cell phone.
