The GT's should be better. however, they won't have quiet as much of an advantage at that resolution, as the 768mb on the GTX starts to matter more.

should i get another gtx?

That would be even better, but not a good choice as far as price/performance is concerned.

if so how do i add more 6 pin power connectors seeing as it uses 2 out of the 2 i have where do i get 2 more to support the gtx?

If your psu doesn't have the connectors you need you're SOL, as far as I know.

do over clocking tools such as riva tuner tune both cards at the same time?

Yes.

So why wouldnt another 8800 gtx be a good price for performance and should I keep the 2 8800 gt in or swap it back out with the gtx... it seems to work better with the gtx....

Two GTX's aren't a whole lot better than two GT's and a GTX costs at least $280.

You could always run benchmarks to compare the two setups. however, if you like the single GTX better, then you might be better off with just that or with another GTX.

BTW, I am currently trying to sell a GTX of mine. It needs to be RMA'd, but the one I'd sell would be fresh back from that RMA. PM me if you'd like.

My 8800gt's came with a 4pin>6pin connector.....

And yes when using rivatuner as long as sli is enabled in nvidia cntrl panel it will OC both cards...

As for "what would be better" the two gt's are better priced than 2 gtx's and the performance isnt diff enought to account for that so Id say 2 gt's.. (if this is what your asking)
