[tcMag] Phenom X4 9350e prepared for Q3

Just before the first quarter of this year ended AMD introduced its first quad-core processor to have a 65W TDP, the Phenom 9100e. Marketed as one of not the most energy-efficient quad-core around the CPU has already updated it to B3 revision status with the introduction of the 9150e model. But, since Intel doesn't seem that keen on making a 65W TDP-ed Core 2 Quad, AMD will be playing the low-power card further and release a new 9000e series Phenom in Q3.

The Phenom 9350e will become available in Q3 and will be 200 MHz faster than the 9150e. The upcoming 2 GHz CPU is set to have HyperTransport 3.0 support, 2MB of L3 cache and, of course, a 65W TDP. More 'e' Phenom models are expected next year and will be made using the 45nm node.

Nice to see that they are diversifying the Phenom line, but I'd still rather see faster Phenoms. Perhaps a HTPC needs a low powered quad-core?

HTPC need a low price, low powered dual or tri core Phenom!!!! The faster HT connect improves the 780G performance.
