But that's the thing - it's not that much of a hassle. You install, let the activation program run, and you're done (barring any massive server downtime like they had at release, which is pretty lame). I'd imagine tracking down a crack from some porn-laden site and the potential of virus/trojan from whatever you got ahold of was equal to, if not exceeding, the hassle of activation.

There's some notion that if you need to upgrade you comp you lose an install license. Not true; BioWare has an "de-license" program that you run and you won't lose that license. Inconvenient? Sure, but nothing to go wild over, and certainly nothing to deny yourself a good time from a good game for.
