E8400 Question :)

Hey all,
Im putting together a shopping list for my brothers system... Now I have the system listed in my sig.. so basically building the same system with some upgrades and such..

Looking at getting the E8400 Wolfdale.. cheap with a huge kick..

Now my question is fairly simple.. I used the Artic Cooling Freezer 7 pro on my X6800 and so far I have loved it.. (Once it is hooked up properly that is lol)

Im wondering with the small diffrences on the processors.. one being 65nm and other being 45nm... will this ACF7Pro work on the E8400??

Edit: BTW.. how the heck do you share your newegg wishlist so that other people can view it/critique it?

yes the ac freezer will work due to the fact that the 45nm tech puts out less heat than 65nm

Not sure how to share the wishlist, but that cooler should be fine. The 45nm processors run much cooler than the 65nm. Enjoy the chip it absolutely rocks!

Get the G.Skill 1000mhz 2x2gb kit when it comes back in stock. It's 89.99 the last time I checked. You really can't beat that unless you want to pay another buck per mhz for some 1066mhz RAM.

I cannot narrow it down anymore lol

that RAM's a waste of money compared to the G.Skill sets that have been pointed out, and if you aren't deadset on an ASUS board, the recommended DFI Lanparty DK P35 has repeatedly shown itself to be worth 200$, let alone 140$.

You can take the money savings there and invest it into a better GPU.
