Also, I don't think EA made this game or even came up with the idea for it, once again it was probably DICE.
That's the end of my rant(s).
EA pushes deadlines and forces due dates on almost every title they publish. So how was this all DICE's fault? If a game is not ready, its not ready. You can't force it out. This is why EA sucks, this is why so many games from EA flop, this is why so many hate EA.

It looks insanely good and you know it, better than crysis. They probably couldn't enable AA because the system would have gone up in smoke.

EDIT:
Old thread bumped... who dug this up?

It's why im nervous about warhammer, I REALLY want it to succeed. But that EA logo is giving me second thoughts. They do seem to understand how MMOs are and are giving it a good amount of time to work on it.

That's an oxymoron. You guys complain about games such as Crysis being pushed back or taking forever to release, then you say that EA pushed the deadlines and due dates on the games. It doesn't sound like they do that to me. And if they did it so often, developers would likely do all they could to NOT let EA be their publisher. And Dice doesn't seem to be doing much of anything to switch to another publisher.

I see much fault in that argument.

I think we B**** about deadlines being pushed back because we're anxious. I just want EA to release a decent game when its ready and when they say they will. Hell dont even set a release date until its 100% . . then fine tune the extra's, patches, multiplayer etc between the announcement and release date. IMO thats how it should be done (though I understand economics and why its not that way)

Oh I understand why we complain when a game gets pushed back when we want it. But he just said that "EA pushes strict dates and deadlines on the developers", implying that EA rushes the developers, thus causing buggy games. My point was that, by example of Crysis, people complained about it taking forever, because EA gave Crytek as much time as they could possibly want, it seemed.

I also don't know why people say EA is uncreative. I mean, what do you want them to do with their Madden football games? Add new features? You can't change the game of football, so all you can really do it tweak the graphics and add some minor features and little mini games, which is what they do (same with the baseball and soccer games they make).

Also, I don't think EA made this game or even came up with the idea for it, once again it was probably DICE.

I don't understand why some people complain about all these things, I guess they're just the "hip" thing to whine about on the internet. Crysis, EA, Windows/Microsoft, Apple, Dell, Sony, etc.

That's the end of my rant(s).
Quoted for truth! Way too many yes-men around here; one person starts griping about a certain company and they all flock to do the same. Also, for the record, the battlefield series is AMAZINGLY AWESOME; I'm not entirely sure what bugs 'everyone complains about'. They were huge successes and are still fun to play years after release.
