Sorry to say it but it does exist and that is a FACT! Why are people so naive. I'm not saying that we have caused all of this warming by ourselves because the other fact is that the planet goes through warming and cooling cycles naturally and we are in a warming cycle now. What we have done is added to that warming cycle and have made the effects of that warming worse for the planet. Global warming does exist and is happening and no amount of eye closing or ignorance is going to fix it. We need to work on lessoning the impact we are having on the natural cycles of the planet. Again, I'm not saying that humans are causing ALL the problems but we have made them worse.

Most of all, it had mostly been Americans who called it fake, especially those who are linked to the oil industry. If it is fake, they could've proved it fake long time ago before some Washington editor was caught for censoring this so-called "conspiracy" and resigned to work for Exxon. On the other hand, almost all known scientists can tell you it's real.

Even if it is fake, I truly don't see what's wrong with conserving what we don't have much left of.
I've come to the conclusion that for every bit of evidence you show in support of man-made global warming, I can show a piece of evidence that speaks otherwise, and vice versa. So in that regard, it's kinda pointless to provide 'proof', because who the hell knows what's real and what's not? If a scientist is in the bag with Al Gore, he can manipulate his data accordingly, and again, vice versa.

I'm not saying we shouldnt conserve or control pollution; obviously we should. But all this global warming talk IMO is just blatant propaganda that does nothing but line the pockets of Al Gorians. It's become a business now. In that regard, I'm very much opposed to it.

This is the best waste of money yet!--they're building a supercomputer, and what they're going to find out is that global warming is being caused by what it's been caused by for the last couple billion years--fluctuations in the solar cycle of the sun. But hey, if the government is going to subsidize their research, it doesn't matter what spin we put on things. It's all probably going to be used for something like new weapons research anyway (most of the benign-sounding government lab projects usually turn into that--they usually have a positive spin on them, then the true motivations come out later). I'm feeling very cynical this evening...

lmao, i couldn't read this whole thread cuz i was laughin so hard about manbearpig... i'm serial!!

ha, but yeah, i really think we could use all this computing power for something that we can actually do something about, instead of figuring out what we already know... the earth warms and cools and has done so since it's formation. us humans have only been around n the most recent warm stage.

that and with all the toxic fumes shooting out of volcano's 4 the last however many billions of eons, i highly doubt a few mortals r gonna funk it up 4ever and ever...

i'm serial

If their is no global warming why did we had event in 2005 with that hurricane Katrina?
It was supposed to be a Category 1 then got to a Category 5. Yes, it got into the hot water of the gulf.

Their is going to be worser than Katrina and we havent seen the full powers of earth.

lol so true man. My family owns a farm up in the hills and we have been stockpiling fuel for years now, we have tanks underground so we are prepared for the worst.

I don't mean to get off topic, but ^^^ makes absolutely no sense. Hurricane Katrina was actually accurately predicted to be very devastating, it's just that no one listened to the warnings. The idea of "global warming" (ugh, what a stupid term) isn't something that just creeps up on us, like it fooled meteorologists and didn't allow them to predict it properly. It's a long-term climate change, and in no way affects sort-term weather predictions like hurricanes and the like.
