How's my first overclock?

Thread Starter
So, I randomly popped into my bios and changed the Bus Speed from 200 to 266

Now I have my E4500 2.2Ghz 800 fsb,
working at just under 3.0Ghz, 1067 fsb

42 Idle
63 Load

I got load from running prime for half an hour, it got to 63 max.
Now is this any good?

P.S this was done on Kingston value ram that's at 667mhz
2T 5:5:5:15 (these numbers mean nothing to me lol)

as long as you don't go past 65 you're good

So I'm pretty damn close eh, might have to lower this when summer weather hits

Whats the Vcore? You might what to lower it to get lower temps. Also you can try to lap the CPU and AFP7 for lower temps. Also you temps in normal use in games etc will not go as high as 63 like in prime.

What does lap mean?
and the CPU voltage goes up to 1.24 max
and idle is at 1.16
lapping is using sandpaper to make the surface of the CPU and the HSF smoother so that there is better contact, and thus better heat transfer between the two surfaces.

that's just a general simple explanation. lapping will probably drop you ~5C. Sometimes its more, sometimes its less.
Monster.

Just a minor update, my recent overclock now allows me to play Crysis on "High" in DX10 mode smoothly (1680x1050)

Before I was playing on mostly medium and a few high in DX9 mode.

This is sweet considering this overclock took me half a minute to make
Temps don't go above 56 either
