Trying to break barriers and HP's overall PC dominance, Dell has now introduced two Special Art Edition Inspiron 1525 laptops. Targeting those who like to have their high-tech as stylish as possible, the new laptops start off at $699 and are available with two designs - Bunch O Surfers and Sea Sky, both created by artist Mike Ming.

"Our customers have asked that we continue to look at other areas of life, apart from technology, to help bring a sense of uniqueness to their computers," said Ed Boyd, vice president of Consumer Experience Design at Dell. "Mike Ming and the other artists in the series represent the shift in the level of customer design input, a trend we’re excited to see continue."

Hardware wise, the Special Art Edition Inspiron 1525s are equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 160GB hard drives, up to 3GB of DDR2 memory and feature 15.4-inch LCDs.
