CrossfireX - ATI cards

SLI - Nvidia cards.

I would sell your 8800GT and get a couple of 3870's. Would be a nice upgrade.

And when the hell did the 780a boards come out??? Now I have a reason to save up $260 lol.

If you want to have more than one video card then you have to go ati with your current motherboard. It won't support more than one nvidia card. So if you want multiple cards with your current setup you must buy ATI card. If you want nvidia you will have to buy that board that Chozart suggested.

The AMD board you have is not a bad one. I moved from the old 570 nForce to this.

I would not recommend going to nForce just for SLI. If you absolutely have to go multi-GPU I would recommend two ATI cards.
