Word perfect networking problem

Thread Starter
A friend of mine uses word perfect exclusively and he is having some trouble. I can't figure out this problem for the life of me. He has three computers they are all on a work group and are all accessing a shared folder on a computer we'll call desktop 1. Everyone saves and edits files on desktop one from one other desktop and one other laptop. But, every word perfect document created on desktop cannot be accessed by anyone else on the network. The file permissions are set correctly and everyone is an admin on there respected machines. Anyone have any ideas as to why we are having this problem?

Presuming he uses XP (Seeing as you do) have you tried turning off simple file sharing and checking/setting the permissions that way, or even try adding full-access credentials for each specific user that needs access?
I haven't used word perfect so I've no idea whether it's a problem with it's files specifically or it's a system wide thing?

Simplest solution. Log into Desktop 1 (the host) and go to control panel, then users. Add a user account for the other 2 ppl (their login and password for their PC\\laptop), and then give them administrator rights. This should give them read\\write\\modify on the host. This also isn't the most secure method

This has nothing to do with access files on another machine
