s1283 touching northbridge cooler

Thread Starter
I'm putting this in the mobo section as this is really a northbridge question in the end.

I am at work and have been too busy at home to finish/test my build (will try to find time tonight). However I have a quick but important question and am using pictures I found on the web to illustrate my point.

I have a xigmatek s1283 and a DFI bloodiron mobo, and the lower right area of the xigmatek has a small metal extension off of the bottom fin that you can see in this picture:

This part is touching the northbridge cooler shown here (the black part that says "infinity" in white, shown with an ultra 120 that almost touches it in the exact same spot).

The fin that the metal extension is attached to bends up slightly at this area, so there isn't too much pressure on the nb cooler, though it did scrape the cooler a bit while installing (I didn't notice at the time).

I'm wondering if this is something I should be really concerned about or not.

I would not think that it would cause a problem. Look at the bright side, if it is touching the NB heatsink, it might help keep the NB a little cooler.
