Overlock e2160

Thread Starter
Hello, my friend has a e2160 and wants to overclock. i think it is 1.8ghz stock. So he has a geforce8800gtx 4gb ram and e2160 and he is getting about 70 fps on counter strike :S is the processor bottlenecking it? And to overclock it to 2.4 ghz he has to change the vcore etc to what? I would need the vcore and the multiplier. its x9. Thx +rep

He probably wont have to change the voltage up until about 2.8-3.0 Mine went up to 3.05 stock voltage but i think thats a little on the rarer side.

So if your going to 2.4-2.6 just raise the FSB

There are a few threads already on this. Check out this one: http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...-comments.html

Overall OC is about what you've got in mind--likely you shouldn't need to touch the vcore (or at least not much).

What mobo does he have?
