First build, advice, comments, etc

Most of this is pretty solid. My main concern is the mobo/hd combo, I'm curious if it's worth the extra ~$90 to get raid 0.

Case - COOLER MASTER Centurion 590 - $64.99
Mobo - GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L - $89.99 (Perhaps changed to DFI Bloodiron for raid 0, comments on this are appreciated.)
Video Card - EVGA 9600gt - $149.99
PSU - CORSAIR 550VX 550w - $99.99 - $15 MIR (this is probably overkill)
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 - $134.99
Memory - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) - $44.99
HD - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 320gb - $69.99 (Not sure how reliable the newegg reviews are, seagate makes good products but everyone seems to be having bad luck with this hd)
Optical Drive - Pioneer 20X DVD Burner - $30.99

Total = $695.92 w/o shipping

Looks good. A good 450W PSU with 26A should be fine but get the 550W PSU in case you add more parts in the near future. Buy.com has Corsair 550W for $70.

That's a good deal on the psu, free shipping too. Definitely getting it from there.

edit: Any opinions on raid 0? Would switching the mobo and adding another HD be worth the price?

You meant extra $20 upgrade to DFI BI and $69 to add another 320GB seagate? Yes if you have budget, it is faster.
post #7 of 9
looks good but if you have the money you should get the DFI BI

what cpu cooler are you getting?

One of the xigmatek ones most likely. What I think I'll do is get the dfi board, and later on get the extra hd/cpu cooler.
