I need help to build a liquid cooling system

Thread Starter
So far, these are the components I have chosen, i saw them on newegg

Swiftech Apogee GT CPU Cooler Block $40
Swiftech MCR220-QP Liquid Cooler Radiator $36
Swiftech MCP655 12 VDC Pump Liquid Cooling System $75
KOOLANCE SPR-13GN Tubing Spring Wrap, Green [13mm, 1/2" ID] $3
2x KOOLANCE SPR-06GN Tubing Spring Wrap, Green [06mm, 1/4" ID] $4
4x KOOLANCE ADT-AP006P Universal Tubing Adapter
$8
KOOLANCE LIQ-702(RED) 700mL Fluorescent Red Liquid Coolant $15

My question is, are these the right components for a good liquid cooling system? and how do I have to build it once I buy it? Did I miss any component? Are there any compatibility problems between the components I chose?

You should mix your own coolant to save some money. Distilled+pt_nuke+pentosin G11 is what I use (thanks to ira-k).

I don't see any tubing listed. I like Tygon, but Masterkleer is a very good (and much cheaper) alternative. Go for the 7/16" ID stuff if you have 1/2" fittings.

The Apogee GT is good, but the D-Tek FuZion V2 just came out, so you may want to wait for some results on that.

Your pump is good, the spring wrap is probably unnecessary tho.

For a processor only loop I belive that rad should be fine.

You're going to need a T-Line or a Reservoir to fill and bleed your loop too.

Oh and hose clamps also.

Once you buy it, to build it basically you just connect it all together with tubing, fill it up, turn on the pump (using a hotwired psu) and let the bubbles get out, then enjoy. For more details check out some of the stickies in this section.
