Bethesda announced that Inon Zur has scored the soundtrack for its highly anticipated RPG -- Fallout 3.

“We’ve wanted to work with Inon for a long time,†said Todd Howard executive producer of Fallout 3. “He brings so much to the table, in terms of his talent, background, and the music that’s influenced him. He’s created a score that has epic sweep; from the lonely ambience of the wasteland to dramatic fights for survival.â€

“Fallout 3 is one of the most engaging and demanding projects I've scored,†said Inon Zur. “It was very rewarding to put all my creative energy into supporting Bethesda's vision for the game. I’m very proud of the outcome, and look forward to sharing the music with the players."

Well I give listen to it once it comes out;most likely trade my crysis or splinter cell DA for this.

Personally, I think the tracks are fine. The two new ones both shoot for ambiance less than being an actually music piece, and that's part of what made the music for the first Fallout games great. Give the new guy a chance. I think he'll pull through.

BTW, didn't Jeremy Soule do the title track?

It's not that the guy sucks. His music is very good. The problem most fans have with it is the type of music being used for the game, but at this point most fans have given up on FO3 anyways.

Those with their noses in the air are going to miss out. This music is perfect for the game. Plenty of atmosphere. I'm looking forward to the game even more so now.

Plenty of atmosphere for an Oblivion clone.
