I downloaded 400GB a week once and never received a call..

Comcast is crap. I would move if that was my only option for a ISP..

8GB a day is not alot for me... If I downloaded and uploaded 24/7 for a day it would be roughly 172GB down, and around 50GB up. This is on a $50/month connection. I probably do about 10-12GB a day, browsing, streaming videos, espically HD ones takes alot more bandwidth than you think. As well as IGN insider HD videos which average about 50-300MB a piece. The Age of Conan beta client alone was 12GB. So basically, comcast is saying you can *fully* use your connection about 1 1/2 days of the month. Which isn't fair.

If they can't provide what they are offering than they should lower their speeds.

Its the 8th day of may and i've upped 37GB and downloaded about 80GB so far, and this isn't including streaming videos and browsing the web, or gaming.

Lol come on you guys dont have it bad

My Cap is 20GB in Aus

You get 40GB offpeak which is between 12 am and 12pm.

But i guess most people dont have caps in America

Come live in Australia for Net then you should be complaining

That seems more than fair to me. I've got a 200GB cap on my DSL that I never even come close to using. Closest I came with 113GB.

I can tell you now, Caps suck and should be destroyed, 250Gb is a lot, but if I can fill a 12Gb cap on a 256Kbit plan in less than two weeks without trying, I'd say it'd be easy to get past this cap and end up paying a LOT of money because of it.

dumb cuz comcast is giving the other companies the opportunity to pick up its customers..... Other companies gonna be like, "yeah, come with us. we dont have a cap limit.." BOOM! people run over there... bye bye comcast.

if time warner road runner pulls something like this (i have 5 comps that connects to the internet daily), i'm moving..... There are always something better out there...

Nope, they don't have caps and have faster internet.
I used to get with comcast was 24MB/s when I was in America.

In my opinion, when you pay for lets say "8mb connection", you'r bandwith should be that 8mb each day, each minute, each second.

What is the point of giving an customer 8mb connection if he cannot use that 8mb per second to it's fullest. Isn't that lying? "Here have an 8mb connection, but oh btw, you can't really use 8mb all the time." Selling bandwith which does not exist is lying.

Just my foolish two euros.

And im stuck on 2mb/512, no caps so far as im concerned.

I usually transfer around 9 GB a day (upload and download) not including regular websurfing activities and gaming. So I'd be just over the cap each month. This is Amuuurica I want my bandwidth when I say I want it. I don't want anyone telling me how much I should use.
