hi all,

ordered a rig 2 weeks ago the mobo arrived faulty(ds3l), i ended up swapping it for a p5b i was reluctant, but im happy to say im happy, i had a E2160 which i did plan to overclock but since then dad upgraded his E6600 to a q6600 so he gave me his old cpu, its amazing! i dont know if its my cooler, sensors i dont know what but temps are reading 62* idle on a vindicator which doesnt seem right i reset the cpu cooler twice etc etc any way long story short

im currentlly at 3.2GHZ (400*8) ram is still @ ddr 800 just on a divider, is that any good, its a bit late now but will reset the cpu cooler again tomo, could be the board i dont know, any ideas?

62* is very hot for idle yes, hopefully that's a misreading, but I'd be sure before running it much more. Have you checked the temps in the BIOS, that should be more reliable.

EDIT: Your second post beat this one. yeah 1.5v would start to explain that then. Have you checked your current temps at load?

With an FSB of 400MHz and RAM at DDR2 800, you're NOT on a divider... you're 1:1
