Q6600 On air - Page 2

I'm running a modest 1.3625v through the bios and getting 3.42GHz on my G0 Q6600. If ambient temps are good I could go higher but I don't wanna worry.

edit: lapped TRUE and a beast of a Delta fan.

The mb fails to post when i go further than 2.65 and the temps are low ish, 25-30 idle and 50 max load.
Do you mean stable or just to get into Windows? I'm Orthos stable (14 hours) at 3.2GHz using 1.375V at the BIOS. Vdroops down to 1.338V under load using CPU-Z.

I can boot into Windows at 3.6GHz using 1.5V at the BIOS, but not Orthos stable. BSOD's as soon as I set the 2nd Orthos instance to run on cores 2 and 3.

Haven't tried at any other speeds since even at 3.2GHz, my CPU isn't the bottle neck for the games I play.

I'm at 3.4GHz-3.5GHz, stable..100% load at like 65C on the cores. CPU temp is like 45 or at full load.

3.6GHz and it cant take no more..

i say max out your chip. research your board with a vdroop mod. zap the volts to 1.5 then start from there. up the fsb little by little till you fail prime testing then back it up to the last stable spot. im at 3.7 keeping my volts at 1.488. you can hit 3.6 easy with a true heatsink. i say get one fast!
