That's 1920x1200. Your best choices are the 9800GX2 with a P35, two 9800GTX(or 8800GTS 512MB) on a EVGA 750i, or an HD3870 and HD3870x2 on an X38/X48. Anything less or more is silly. If you ever want to have more than one monitor, the ATI cards are your only choice. It is also common consensus that ATI's cards have better image quality.

I'm going with only one monitor a 24" samsung, thanks

Personally, I'd go with two 9800GTX's and an EVGA 750i FTW. You won't need anything more than a 750w PSU, even that might be some what overkill.

The only benefit of CF is multi-monitor support which SLI lacks. Nothing more. For 5K you can get a QX9770 or 9650 but some specs might need to be changed for 5k.

CF also scales better.

guys you gotta understand that in colombia there's no way for me to upgrade my pc in a long while that's why I'm going a little bit over the top with this one. I changed the ASUS rampage for a 780i. the rest is the same, 2 9800GX2 QX9650, 8GB corsair DDR2 memory. thanks guy, I'll let you know when this baby is running

If that's the case, ditch the DDR2 and get a 790i+DDR3, you won't need anything more than 4GB. 8GB is for people who are doing extreme multi-tasking.

I know that, but 4GB of DDR3 cost almost twice of what 8GB od DDR2 cost, so I don't think it'll worth it plus you can always overclock and the corsair is good for that
