Q6600 or Q6700? Or WHAT!?

Okay, I'm sure this has been posted numerous times, but the only thing I'm in need of is a processor.

You can see my system specs below. I was planning on getting the Q9450, but because they're unavaliable (other than being ridiculously expensive), and because everyone has told me they arn't worth it with the lower multiplier i decided i'll just go with different chip.

As you can read below, i've got the Asus Striker II Extreme w/ the nVidia 790i chipset, 4gigs of G.skill DDR3 1600, and so on. Considering I'll be Watercooling, should i go with a Q6600 or Q6700, or something different? I want a GOOD processor thats not gonna be considered outdated by the end of the summer!? Thats one of the reasons why i was gonna get the Q9450. Load me up guys, i want any and all inputs.

I may be purchasing tonight....

I second that. I think it's less then the Q6600 at TigerDirect.ca... With 2.66GHz stock over 2.4 and a larger L2 Cache.

a potential 5% better overclock than your average q6600 doesn't justify the extra ~$50 you're paying.

OP is in the US, q6700's still 275 on newegg, and 260 at tiger. Q6600's can be had for $220 at newegg, or $200 if you have a store around you running a special on it.

Ok go buy a Q6600 right now from NewEgg and look at the VID and tell me how far it clocks.

Does a month ago count? I'd be at 3.6 if my power supply wasn't such a piece of trash.
