New to Overclocking GPUs, help please?

Hi, im new to this site so sorry if this is constantly being asked or in the wrong forum...

Well atm i am running my 8800GT overclocked at 700/995, because my pc is well cooled its running at a very good temp leaving me room for a higher clock....if thats possible. Iv being told that some graphics cards simply overclock better than another cards of the same type because of the quality of the silicon, is there any other tweaking involved in getting your graphics card clocked as high as possible? like increasing voltage?
